What pests does Avalanche Pest Control treat?
Spiders, cockroaches, rodents, ants, termites, mosquitoes, fleas, bed bugs and wasps, plus bird and solar panel proofing, feral pest control on acreage and fire ant identification. A general pest treatment covers ants, spiders, cockroaches and silverfish in one visit. Termites, rodents and mosquitoes are handled as their own jobs.
Who will I deal with when I call?
You deal with Simon directly. Avalanche Pest Control is a family-run business based in Wollongong, so there is no call centre between you and the person doing the work.
Do you treat the source of the problem or just spray?
We treat the source. Baits and residuals go into the harbourage where pests live and breed, such as wall voids, eaves, weep holes and the gaps behind kitchen fittings. That is why the result holds instead of the pests coming straight back.
Do you service businesses as well as homes?
Yes. Alongside homes we look after cafés and restaurants, offices and strata, retail and warehouses, and rental properties across the Illawarra. The details are on the commercial pest control page.
What is the best time of year to book a pest treatment?
Late winter, before the season starts. From about mid-September the spiders come back into the eaves, ants march in over the kitchen bench and cockroaches start breeding again. A treatment booked before then is easier to schedule and works better on a quiet house.
