Unanderra gets rodents from two directions. The Mount Kembla foothills push bush rats and mice down into the residential streets in autumn, and the industrial estate along the rail line carries its own population that moves between sheds, yards and the houses nearby. Baiting alone becomes a subscription here, so we spend the time on entry points.

The older slab-on-ground homes have ants as a constant, usually black house ants working from garden beds and pavers into the kitchen. On the older brick places with subfloors it's cockroaches and spiders as well.

Unanderra, Figtree and Berkeley are the same short run from where we're based, so it is an easy suburb to fit into a day.
